Occupied Wall Street Journal Issue Two


The second edition of the OWS Journal has just been published and is available online here. If you translate from a language into which the first edition of the Journal has not yet been published, that should probably be the first priority to get translated, but obviously it would be wonderful to keep up with new issues as they continue to come out, if you are working in a language that has enough translators in it to allow for a team effort. If you are the only translator in your language area, can you recruit a friend or two to join us? It's so much easier to translate something large like this if there's a whole team to work on it together. We're also looking for team leaders for each language group (except for Spanish and Arabic, which already have coordinators), so if you can take on that role, please let us know! If you decide to start translating this issue of the Journal, please leave a note in the comment section below so that others in your language area will know what you're working on. With any luck, they'll decide to join you!

    The Greek team has translated the following texts:

    Issue # 1

    1. The Revolution begins at home
    2. Learning from the world
    3. The protests around the world timeline
    4. Declaration of the Occupation
    5. No excuses left. It's now or never
    6. Five things you can do right now

    Issue # 2

    1. What Liberty Square means
    2. Meeting for the first time, again
    3. No list of demands
    4. Principles of Solidarity
    5. Organized labor stands up

    Klein's "The most important thing" had already been tranlsated in Greek before we took up this initiative

    The General Assembly information leaflet is ready in Greek. The Greek team's translation of the 3rd issue is also in progress now
